The Virtual Assessment plugin enables patients to submit their photos to their Healthcare Professionals remotely, through a public webpage, instead of in practice through the SM App. In both instances, Healthcare Professionals are able to access their patients’ Screening Reports through their Dashboard.

To complete the Virtual Assessment Scan process, patients will need:

  • A good WIFI connection: recommended minimum speed of 50ko/sec

  • A smartphone with lens, auto-focus and flash (minimum devices recommended: iPhone 5, Android 5) or a digital camera. It is recommended that the patient is assisted by a friend or family member to take the required photos

The steps of the Virtual Assessment are as follow:

  • Patients go to the Virtual Assessment plugin integrated on the Healthcare Professional website or the stand-alone Virtual Assessment landing page

  • Patients enter their personal information. If the patient is under the legal age, he/she will need to also enter the information of their legal guardian

  • Patients answer a questionnaire (customizable by the Healthcare Professional)

  • Patients upload their photos:

    • one portrait photo smiling,

    • Five intra-oral photos (front, right, left, top and bottom views),

    • If the Healthcare Professional has enabled Smile simulation on their Dashboard, patients will be asked to upload one extra portrait photo with their mouth slightly opened
